Welcome to Sytegeist, I’m so glad you’re here!

I built Sytegeist from the ground up on one simple belief: small businesses deserve websites that work as hard as they do. Sites that aren’t confusing, outdated, or “good enough,” but clear, confident, and uniquely yours.

I’m Lyne (pronounced Lin), a web designer, mom, and unapologetic layout nerd living in eastern Pennsylvania. I live here with my fiancee, our spirited toddler, two cats, and a tortoise. And yes, I run my business during nap time and late-night creative bursts. Motherhood sharpened my problem-solving muscles and gave me the fire to build something that matters, for my family and for the business owners that I help.

I earned my B.S. in Organizational and Professional Communication from Penn State (WE ARE!) and I fell in love with design back in my high school desktop publishing days. A major turning point came at T-Mobile, where I built internal SharePoint sites that supported hundreds of employees. That’s where I discovered my favorite kind of magic: functional design that makes real life easier.

Later, while working as a virtual assistant, I rebuilt a friend’s website from scratch. He loved it. And I realized I wanted to help more small business owners take that brave step into building (or rebuilding) their digital presence.

That’s when Sytegeist really began.

The name is a play on zeitgeist, the German word for “spirit of the times.” I’m German, and the idea of capturing the spirit of something (the vibes of a business) has always stuck with me.
So Sytegeist means the spirit of the site. Your site.
Your goals. Your story. Your momentum.

My philosophy is simple:
Function first, then face.

Because a pretty site that doesn’t do anything is just a digital postcard. I build websites that:

I partner mostly with small businesses, solopreneurs, and service pros. Especially the ones who are ready to step out of “this has been working fine” and into “HECK YES, this is my business!” I bring strategy, clarity, and the kind of support every entrepreneur deserves.

Sytegeist is my creative outlet and my contribution to a world where small businesses show up with confidence, capability, and NO hesitation.
